Students As Partners

'Students as Partners' (SaP) is a programme of work managed by the Teaching and Learning Support Office in liaison with the Faculties.

SaP coordinates and maintains the quality of Peer Support (Peer Mentoring and Peer Assisted Study Schemes) across the University.

SaP supports and facilitates student-led activity, encouraging students to take a holistic approach to their learning and development, concentrating on the total student experience and recognising co-curricular learning opportunities as well as those available through the curriculum.

Peer support

Peer support

Students as Partners supports two forms of peer support: PASS and Peer Mentoring. The University of Manchester is the national benchmark for PASS and is home to the UK National Centre for PASS/SI

Student consultation

Student consultation

The Students as Partners programme supports colleagues within the University to design and deliver student consultation sessions.  This enhances students experience through involving students as co-consultants and informing practice and policy.

Sabbatical interns

Sabbatical interns

The current sabbatical interns, working with the faculties, are recent graduates of the University.  Their responsibility is to support delivery and operational activity for the programme. All sabbaticals are heavily involved in day to day support and co-ordination of peer support.
