Student Consultation
There is an increasing recognition of the value and impact of student engagment in enhancing the student experience, informing curriculum design, shaping institutional practice and working with students to redesign policy and strategy.
The engagment of students as co consultants is a rapidly exanding area of work of the Students as Partners programme (based in the Teaching & Learning Support Office). This has been instrumental in coordinating the engagement of students in a richer, more deliberate way a the Discipline, School, Faculty of Institutional level enabling them to play a role in management of quality, in the development and design of their own curriculum, learning environments and wider university policy.
Getting students opinions on different aspects of University life is essential to ensure that they are getting the most out of their student experience. Much as we think we know what they want, the only way to truly find out is to ask them. The Students as Partners programme recognises this importance and therefore one of our key responsibilities is to help members of the Staff within the University to design and deliver bespoke consultation sessions and suggest areas for development based on the results.
